Pothole

is a hole in the road typically caused by water getting underneath the pavement (many times made worse with the freeze-thaw effect). Accelerated from wear and tear of traffic,  Top Patch, due to lower equipment costs, as well as lower labor costs, and faster installation total time;  has actually been shown to be less expensive for many municipalities & other repair companies than using hot mix truck for average potholes,  up to about 30” diameter.
Top Patch easily repairs potholes with its mix and pour method. Compacting is not required and Top Patch self-levels. For deeper holes, fill to within three inches from the pavement surface with clean, dry aggregate (3/8” or less) then install Top Patch. Top Patch requires no cut out, or removal. Alligator Cracking

is a combination of longitudinal and parallel cracking; fragmented sections of asphalt many times lead to potholes and pavement failure. Other products may seal, but do not have strength to hold cracked segments.
Top Patch can be installed in layers as thin as a quarter of an inch (1/4”), and includes a resin binder. This allows Top Patch material to fill cracks and seal edges, and actually bind the alligator pavement together. Repair is fast and efficient, one trip, in & out. Many times this repair will add years of service life to an alligator cracked road.

Delamination

is a combination of longitudinal and parallel cracking; fragmented sections of asphalt many times lead to potholes and pavement failure. Other products may seal, but do not have strength to hold cracked segments.

Top Patch will repair delamination potholes by filling the void, without extensive cut out / prep, or expanding the repair area. The Top Patch repair is fast and efficient, one trip, in & out.
Raveling

is the gradual breakdown of asphalt caused by a loss of binder and aggregate. Most repair products require full cut out and patch, which is inefficient and leads to large repaired areas.

Top Patch does not require any additional binders. Top Patch will adhere to almost any surface and can be installed in thin layers, so repair is fast and efficient, one trip, in & out.

ADA

All Federal & State funded properties require compliance with ADA access requirements.

Top Patch will easily install on bevel to bring excessive offsets into compliance, without extensive cutting out, removing and reinstallation. Pavement Construction

Utility saw cuts and paver driveway installations when cutting out the road for last row of pavers to be installed.
Due to Top Patch’s unique self-leveling properties and never compacting / settling - tampers are never required for Top Patch. Virtually all utility access cuts, and paver / street junction has voids are way smaller than the 19” width of a vibratory plate tamper. Top Patch’s easy installation properties will allow these voids to be quickly filled to pavement level, and will never settle.
